Black Calla Events specializes in original floral design and decor services for weddings, social and corporate events. Located in Silver Spring, MD, we are serving D.C. Metropolitan Area, Maryland and Virginia (DMV).
Indeed, no wedding or social event can be beautiful without florals and decor. That’s why the Black Calla Events team is here to help you make your special day memorable and unique.
For some clients, flowers may be the most important decor element of their event. Other clients may need more guidance about how floral design can fit into their vision for their special day. Whatever is the case, we enjoy the process of working with all clients, and we will make sure that your decor represents your vision.
Full attention
We only commit to one event per weekend. This ensures you will get our full attention on your special day. We will deliver the arrangements and set up everything to perfection. Additionally, our team will pick up any rental items afterwards. The delivery and pick up charges are included in the proposal.
While many of our clients have a clear idea of what they want, we will be happy to assist you if you don’t. With years of experience, we are able to offer our creative ideas for your floral arrangements. Since every event’s detail is custom-tailored, we will create your unique look and help bring your vision to reality.
We know DMV well
Black Calla Events provides services in the entire Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. We have worked in most of the venues in the D.C. Metro region. Thus, we can help you with our knowledge of each venue, including what sizes, shapes and colors of flowers will work the best with your chosen event space. In case we haven’t worked at your venue yet, we will be happy to do a site visit to get to know the space. Also, our team will work closely with your venue and communicate with them directly.
Honesty in all we do
When it comes to budget, at our initial meeting, we like to talk openly and honestly about how much you want to spend. The good news is that we can work within the budget you have set for your special day most of the time. However, if your budget is limited, we recommend being open to new ideas and alternatives. We will help you create less alternative options based on which flowers are in season.

Our wedding ceremony decorations include arches, canopies, chuppah or mandaps with a variety of fabrics. Aisle décor can be accented with aisle runners, candles, columns, floral designs. We have years of experience and can offer expert advice as you on your décor selection.
Let us make you the exquisite floral centerpieces for your reception, with a variety of low and tall vases and containers. Additionally, candles will complete your tablescape look, whether they are pillars, tapers, votives or tea lights.
